The MP polled 547 votes to beat his competitors, Mr Simon Awog-Badek and Professor Godwin Awabil, who polled 165 and nine votes respectively. With such a significant victory margin, Mr Agalga is poised to retain the seat and lead the Party to success in the 2024 elections.

He believes that the competition has reactivated and repositioned the NDC for power in the upcoming elections.
